Fermented partly in oak (fuder and doppelstück), the 2016 Brauneberg Juffer Riesling Trocken "GG" offers clear, ripe, intense yet fine and mineral fruit with deep and finely crunchy "brown" or warmer slate aromas. Lush and very delicate on the palate, this is a silky-textured, generous and highly elegant dry Riesling with opulent fruit intensity in the long, aromatic finish. Very fine and complex, it's pretty accessible already. 12.5% alcohol, AP 24 17. Tasted March 2018.
