The 2013 Auzells is a multi-grape blend of Macabeo, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Chardonnay, Albarino, Muller Thurgau and Muscat where 10% of the wine aged in oak with a fruity profile. Clean, very well made, and fresher than the 2012, it is very pleasant and easy to drink. It has just been bottled, but with time in the glass and as the wine gets warmer, the nose starts revealing more complexity, with notes of fennel and grapefruit. A white for food. Drink now-2015.
Tomas Cusine produces a whole range of whites and reds in the Costers del Segre appellation as well as other wines in Conca de Barbera and Catalunya. A prolific, reliable name.
