A blend of 40% Syrah, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Grenache and Carignan, the 2003 Finca L’Argata spent 14 months in a combination of French and American oak before being bottled unfiltered. While closed, it reveals plenty of tannin along with abundant richness, extract, and weight. It appears to have outstanding potential, but 1-2 years of bottle age is required.
