The 1990 Barolo Brunate is extremely ripe and deep, with layers of glycerin-imbued, rich fruit, full body, gobs of tannin, and a massive finish that lasts for 60 seconds. It possesses the tell-tale roasted ripeness and jammy richness of the 1990 vintage, as well as plenty of structure. Drink it between the late nineties through the first two decades of the next century.
Alfredo Currado is one of the great gentlemen of Piedmont, so it is delightful to share with readers my enthusiastic reviews of his 1989 and 1990 offerings.
