Picked with the Kabinett but based on highly ripe and overripe or freshly botrytized grapes, the 2019 Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Auslese is precise, piquant and fresh on the coolish and herbal/slatey nose that displays concentrated aromas of lemon, grapefruit and mustard chutney as well as excitingly mineral nuances in the background. Round, lush and refined on the palate, this is a salty-piquant, precise and persistently intense and concentrated Auslese with sharp acidity and tension.
