The 2012 Sylvaner Reserve exhibits crisp acid along with hints of apple skins and honey in a fresh, medium-bodied, stylish, dry format. It should drink well for 3-4 years.
It-s a shame the drier style of white wines from Alsace has fallen out of favor and selections for consumers are few and far between (a complete contrast to the abundant riches available 20-25 years ago). Here are two great examples of what can be done in a brilliant manner at a reasonable price.
