The balsamic and faintly smoky 2011 Gran Torelló Brut Nature had a long aging in bottle with the lees (75 months) and is very alive and fresh, with notes of freshly cut grass. It's from a warm and dry year, more in line with 2009 than 2010, and is a rounder wine and perhaps a little riper, with no sugar. This has a very dry and long finish and is remarkable for over six years of lees aging. It develops a distinct note of bitter almonds and peat. This 2011 is a blend of 46% Xarello, 30% Macabeo and 24% Parellada. This has a liqueur d'expedition without sugar, only white sparkling wine aged in bottle for seven years. 14,077 bottles produced.
