The 2006 Solpost is a blend of 50% Garnacha, 35% Carinena, and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon aged for 12 months in 33% new French and American oak. Dark ruby in color, it displays an already complex nose of earth notes, mineral, and assorted black fruits. Full-bodied on the palate with good depth of flavor, plenty of spice and succulence, this lengthy effort will benefit from 2-3 years of cellaring and deliver prime drinking from 2012 to 2021.
