An excellent value, this superb blend of 50% Mourvedre, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Syrah was bottled unfiltered after aging 14 months in French oak. An opaque purple color is followed by gorgeous aromas of prunes, blackberries, cassis, licorice, and tar. Medium to full-bodied and tannic, with great fruit presence, tremendous purity, and a long, impressive finish, it is still primary and unformed.
