The 1999 Las Gravas is not very massive, but it is well-balanced. The tannin is sweet, and the wine reveals little volume, but beautiful harmony as well as gorgeous notes of blackberries, cherries, underbrush, sweet oak, minerals, and earth. Luxuriously rich and supple-textured, it is best consumed over the next 12-15 years. For the quality, it is a super value. This is an exceptional value.Importer: Jorge Ordonez, Fine Estates From Spain, Dedham, MA; tel. (781) 461-5767
