The 2009 Chablis Les Clos wraps around the palate with superb intensity. It shows fabulous integration of bouquet, fruit and structure. All of the elements flow gracefully to the sweet, perfumed, sumptuous finish. This is a great Les Clos endowed with multiple dimensions of expression and terrific pedigree. Anticipated maturity: 2014+.
Drouhin farms their vineyards in Chablis following biodynamic principles. The wines themselves are vinified in Beaune and aged in mostly neutral oak barrels of various sizes from 350 to 600 liters. Not surprisingly, these are very ‘Cote de Beaune’-styled Chablis.
