The 2003 Le Pigoulet VDP Vaucluse is the least expensive offering from Brunier. Readers should be aware that the bottle sold in the USA says “Le Pigoulet en Provence” on the label. This cuvee is generally a blend of about 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah, Cinsault, and even Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in certain vintages. The juicy, fruity, straightforward, well-made, impeccably clean 2003 is meant to be enjoyed at brasseries and bistros. Nearly all of the fruit comes from vineyards in the Ventoux region. Enjoy it over the next 1-3 years.Importers: Vieux Telegraphe and Pigoulet: Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant, Berkeley, CA; tel.
