Offering lots of granite-induced notes of wild strawberries, pepper, sappy flowers and smoked earth, the 2014 St Joseph Sainte Epine is medium-bodied, fresh and energetic on the palate, with the lively acidity, purity and more mid-weight feel of the vintage. Coming from a cool, granite terroir located just outside the village of St Jean de Muzols, and aged 12 months in two- to three-year-old barrels, enjoy it anytime over the coming 7-8 years.
