The 2003 Rosso Scuro is a selection of the estate’s best Merlot with a small addition of Refosco and is aged 18 months in French oak. It is a racy red packed with dark cherries, herbs, sweet toasted oak, cassis and roasted coffee beans. Made in a sumptuous, concentrated style, this intense, richly structured wine should be opened at least a few hours prior to serving to allow the tannins to soften a bit.
