It's on thing to hear about wine being statements of terroir, but one whiff of this chalky-minerally-earthy white Rhone wine, and you'll be transported back to the motherland. Minerally from start to finish, it alos shows light citrus-apple aromas on the nose, and limerind and bath soap flavors on the palate. Dry, with a decent fruit-to acid balance, the finish is a continuation of what you get in the mouth, punctuated with a lemony tang and some green herb.——W.E.(11/15/2001)—— 85
