The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon is elegant and fine in the mouth—the 2017 vintage was challenging for many, however Xanadu was one of the estates that behaved in dynamic reception to the conditions handed to them, and to great effect. This is savory and earthy and a little bit leafy; the fruit has a pure bramble vibe to it, showing its potential for elegance in youth, offset against the tannins that are intense at this stage. This is a very good, modern, mid-weight Cabernet Sauvignon from a cool vintage. It has floral high notes and is very pretty, reflective of the year. Super fine.
