True to form, the 1991 Zinfandel from the Dickerson Vineyard in Napa reveals a Mouton-Rothschild-like minty and cassis-scented nose. Although deeply colored, it is not as saturated as either the Old Hill or the Belloni Vineyard Zinfandels. The Dickerson Vineyard cuvee is a classic Zinfandel marked by its Napa heritage. There is not quite the richness of the Belloni, or the seductive powers of the Cooke or Old Hill offerings. Nevertheless, it is a blockbuster, full-bodied, super-concentrated, well-structured Zinfandel that needs another 1-2 years of cellaring. It will keep for 10-12 or more years.
