This strong effort from Silverado Vineyards is young and unevolved, with notes of subtle smoke, black currants, tobacco leaf, crushed rock and incense. It is a deep, chewy wine, but also elegant and substantial. In the finish, the tannins kick in, suggesting this wine is at least 4-5 years away from any semblance of maturity. It should last for 30+ years as well. This is another profound example from this great vintage that has eclipsed its own early rave reviews.Tel. (707) 257-1770
