The 2011 Condrieu is a modest wine, restrained and missing the depth one expects from this small yet hallowed appellation.
Aside from a straightforward, one-dimensional Condrieu, this estate, owned by Guigal, is making better balanced, more interesting wines than they were a decade ago. The 2009 Cote Roties have just been released by Bonserine. (Most Guigal wines are released later into the marketplace because of more extended upbringings/elevages.)
