From the estate's cellar, the 2011 Hermitage is amazingly youthful, still showing a near-black color and no hint of bricking. Almost primary notes of cedar and vanilla rest against a backdrop of fresh cherries, like the wine hasn't budged much since it was bottled. It's medium to full-bodied, still moderately tannic but silky, with a long, lingering finish. Impressive!

Juicy and well-built, with briary grip carrying a range of red and black currant, raspberry and plum fruit. Anise, cinnamon and black tea notes line the toasted finish. Drink now through 2020. 330 cases made, 15 cases imported.??–JM??Region: France / Northern Rh?ne / Hermitage Select to Add
