This offering is well-balanced, with nicely integrated acidity, alcohol, and tannin. The saturated ruby/purple-colored 1995 Barbaresco offers a sweet, jammy nose of herb-tinged cherry liqueur intermixed with a touch of toasty new oak. The wine is evolved, fleshy, round, and made with a hedonist's mentality. Drink it over the next 7-8 years. No known American importer.

A lovely wine that stresses fruit, fruit and more fruit. Dark in color, with a super marriage of plum, blackberry, truffle, licorice and cassis, it has a ripe, sweet midpalate and massive but fairly supple tannins.
