Proprietor Aime Sabon continues to be one of the bright stars of Chateauneuf du Pape. The 1993 offerings are vastly superior to the one cuvee of 1992 that I was shown.. The 1993 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc exhibits a savory, richly fruity, tropical fruit-scented nose, deep, medium to full-bodied flavors, crisp acidity, and a moderately long finish. It should drink well for 3-4 years. For the last five or six years the Domaine de la Janasse has consistently produced one of the few delicious white Chateauneuf du Papes.
