The 2001 Pareto, the estate’s Cabernet Sauvignon, appears to be the best since the initial 1988 vintage, powerful in it expression of black currant fruit, sweet herbs, cedar, and graphite, sizeable and deep in flavor, muscular but already beginning to show some roundness and velvet on its intense finish.
