The 2007 Brunello di Montalcino bursts onto the palate with layers of deep, expressive red cherries, hard candy, crushed flowers and licorice. This is a decidedly sleek, racy wine built on fruit more than anything else. The 2007 is already drinking nicely. Slightly forward notes in the aromas and flavors suggest it is best enjoyed sooner rather than later. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2022.
