The 2009 Meursault Genevrières is well-defined on the nose and seems quite rich vis-à-vis other vintages. But that does not obstruct the minerality and detail, which hints of brioche and popcorn that enhance its extravagance. The palate is well-balanced with very good weight: candied orange peel, citrus lemon, touches of hazelnut with a dense, almost introspective finish that will surely come out from under its shell with time. Give this another 3-4 years in bottle.
