The current releases contain one white wine, the 2010 Acustic Blanc made from 60% Garnacha Blanca, 25% Macabeu, and the balance Garnacha Rojo and Pansal. The wine was partially fermented (30%) for 3 months in French oak, the balance in tank. Notions of mineral, melon, honeysuckle, and baking spices inform the nose of a savory, smooth-textured, concentrated wine that will provide enjoyment for several more years. It is an outstanding value. Acustic is establishing itself as one of the finer producers in the up-and-coming region of Montsant. The wines are made from the indigenous varieties of the region with vine age ranging from 40-100 years. The 2009 Brao (93 points) and 2009 Auditori (93-96) were reviewed in Issue 194 in my Catalunya report.Importer: Bryce McNamee, Boutique Wine Collection, Philadelphia, PA; Tel: (914) 954-6583
