The estate's 2003 Taurasi possesses tell-tale notes of game, cured meats, smoke, leather, spices and dark fruit on a strapping frame. A big Taurasi, the wine offers tons of balance in a generous, pleasing style, with sweet, mentholated notes that linger on the finish. This is an unusually polished Taurasi that can be enjoyed today, but the firm tannins suggest the wine will continue to drink well for at least another few years. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2013.
