The purple-colored 2007 Valtuille Cepas Centenarias spent 16 months in new French oak. It displays an extra aromatic dimension imparted by the old vines. Complex aromas of wet stone, Asian spices, incense, black cherry, and black raspberry are very sexy. With outstanding volume on the palate, layers of succulent fruit, and superb length, this splendid effort will evolve for several more years and offer prime drinking from 2013 to 2022.
