Bright red-ruby. Sexy, expressive aromas of dark cherry, flint and truffley underbrush. Large-scaled and dense, with musky flavors of dark berries, spices and smoky underbrush. At once generous and firm, this Taurasi finishes with a solid spine of youthful, chewy mouth-coating tannins and noteworthy lingering sweetness. This outstanding wine will gain in pliancy with time: don’t touch a bottle for at least four or five years. Pulls of the neat trick of being highly concentrated yet light on its feet. It also strikes me being much better than the 2010 Macchia dei Goti.
