Naturally fermented in French barriques, 20% new, and aged in oak for 14 months, the 2008 La Strada Pinot Noir has a medium ruby color and aromas of cherry preserves and warm raspberries over hints of game, soy, baking spices and violets. Medium bodied and nicely balanced on the palate, it has a good concentration of warm red berry and savory flavors with medium-high acid, fine grained tannins and a long finish. Drinking nicely now, it should remain good through 2014. Importer: Au Bon Climat, CA
