The 2008 Dolcetto d-Alba is a pretty, mid-weight offering with attractive dark fruit, licorice, spices and a characteristic slightly bitter (but not unpleasant) note on the finish. Like so many Dolcettos in 2008, a measure of concentration that this wine usually shows is missing. Still, this is one of the more polished, refined Dolcettos of the vintage.
