A morning spent in Luciano Sandrone’s pristine cellars is always a fascinating and educational experience. I have been tasting here regularly for years, often lot by lot, and sometimes barrel by barrel. Although Sandrone is most famous for his Barolos, and in particular the superb Barolo Cannubi Boschis, he and his brother Luca pay just as much attention to their entry-level wines as they do to their high-end bottlings.
