The 1999 Gattinara San Francesco, made from one of the two top vineyards of the estate, is spicy and floral in its aromatic impact, fleshy and with firm tannins, solid, if a bit tightly wound at the moment. It will require more time, and can be consumed from 2006 to 2018.
