The Savigny-Les-Beaune Les Lavieres is medium-to-dark ruby-colored, ripe dark berry and iron-scented, and offers a delightful, medium-to-full-bodied, extremely juicy, silky personality loaded with assorted red and black berries. This attractive wine should drink well through 2003. Bouchard's qualitative resurgence continues. It is extremely gratifying to see the efforts put forth by Joseph Henriot, this negociant's new owner and the talented duo of Misters Hervet and Prost, respectively the firm's director and wine-maker.
