Adam Tolmach was not sure if he was going to do a single vineyard bottling of the 2000 Syrah White Hawk Vineyard. It is a sensationally concentrated effort, but still awkward and disjointed, with earthy, savage characteristics as well as mouth-staining levels of extract and richness.
