Scavino's 1990s are immense, statuesque wines of exceptional richness and complexity. The softest, most fragrant, and ready for prime time drinking candidate is the 1990 Barolo. The dark ruby/garnet color is followed by a sweet nose of nuts, cedar, fruitcake, and black fruits. This soft, opulent, full-bodied, luscious wine should drink well for at least a decade.
