Scavino's three 1989 Barolos are spectacular. The 1989 Barolo has an earthy, meaty, game-like nose with tremendous fruit, long, rich, supple, dense flavors, plenty of alcohol and glycerin, and a lusty, yet supple finish. It should drink well for 12-15 years. These are the finest Barolos I have tasted from Scavino.
