The 2000 Gloria de Ostatu is a 400-case, complex, rich, intense blend of 90% Tempranillo and 10% Graciano. A deep ruby/purple color is accompanied by a sumptuous bouquet of wood smoke intermixed with espresso roast, chocolate, and black currant liqueur. Medium to full-bodied, elegant, pure, and intense, it should drink well for 7-10 years.
This is clearly a winery of which to take note, and the influence of the brilliant Hubert de Bouard can not be discounted.
