The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Armstrong Ranch is a deep, powerful wine. Firm yet well-integrated tannins frame a core of expressive dark red fruit, mineral, mint, licorice and tar. The Armstrong Ranch is one of the bigger, more structured wines in this lineup. The low yields and microclimate of this site on Diamond Mountain come through in the wine’s weight and sheer personality. The big tannins need time in bottle to soften a touch. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2021. Tel. (800) 331-8266
