The 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Armstrong Ranch from Diamond Mountain may not be as strong as the 2003, but it is another outstanding effort, exhibiting notes of crushed hot rocks, a complex volcanic element, creosote, black currant, tobacco leaf, smoke, and damp earth. Rich, full, and ripe with moderately high tannin, even in a vintage like 2004 the structure of this wine is quite apparent. Give it 2-3 years of bottle age and drink it over the following 15 or so years.
