The 2004 Pinot Noir “Meyer Vineyard” was aged for 14 months in 100% new French oak. It is dark ruby-colored with a nose dominated by oak although hints of red fruits do make an appearance. On the palate, the wine is elegant with ripe flavors, well-concealed tannin, and a forward personality. There is a slight tartness in the finish suggesting that this is a wine to drink near-term.
