Clair's best Marsannay is the Marsannay-Longerois. It has greater concentration than his other Marsannays, a deep, brooding, smoky, berry-like fruitiness, good acidity, soft tannins in the finish, and plenty of body and length. It is one of the finest red Marsannays I have ever tasted and demonstrates the promising potential for this appellation just outside Dijon.
