This wine was a big award winner back in New Zealand, and it’s easy to see why. It’s full-bodied and rich but never heavy, with complex aromas and flavors that include cola and coffee, black cherries and plums, cinnamon and clove. Finishes long, with mouthwatering acids and a fine coating of silky tannins. Delicious now, but should last through at least 2012, maybe longer. ——J.C.(5/1/2007)—— 92
