Offering plenty of citrus, apple blossom and a touch of minerality, the 2013 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc is medium-bodied, rounded and nicely textured, with building richness that comes through on the finish. Made from 53% Grenache, 20% Clairette, 19% Roussanne and the rest Bourboulenc and Picardan, it’s a rock solid white that has plenty to like. I’d drink bottles over the coming year or three, but it could easily evolve for longer.
