Harvested at 13.8% natural potential alcohol from yields of 20 hectoliters per hectare, the 2001 Beaune Perrieres is from a high-elevation premier cru on the Savigny-Les-Beaune side of Beaune. Its red fruit and blackberry-scented nose leads to a ripe, lush, broad personality crammed with concentrated black cherries. This rich, intense wine also reveals a long, fruit-packed finish. Drink it over the next 6 years.
