The 2006 Crianza is 50% Tempranillo and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon aged in a mix of new and 1 year barrels for 9 months. Purple-colored, it proffers aromas of spice box, herbs, menthol, black currant and blackberry. In the mouth it has good volume, excellent concentration, a smooth texture, and an overall elegant personality. It has enough ripe tannin to evolve for another 1-2 years and will offer pleasure through 2016. Casa Gualda’s current collection is uniformly excellent.Importer: Steven Berardi Selections, Denver, CO; tel. (303) 838-1963
