Ruby in color, the 2009 Verismo Pinot Noir has ripe red plum and red currant aromas with hints of pencil lead, loam, white pepper and underbrush. Taut and crisp in the medium bodied mouth, it offers a medium-firm level of grainy tannins with just enough elegant fruit and a long savory finish. It’s approachable now though it should drink best 2012 to 2016+.
