The 2002 Chardonnay, the finest Forman has yet fashioned, is a terrific 1,200-case, steely, mineral-laden, full-bodied effort that is pure liquid minerality. This cuvee sees no malolactic fermentation, and only about one-third new oak is utilized. The 2002 possesses fabulous pear, lemon butter, crisp, vigorous flavors that coat the palate. Readers looking for a grand cru Chablis with the flavor level racheted up a few notches should check out this high powered beauty. Drink it over the next 2-3 years. Tel.
