Another wine that would pass undetected in a lineup of top C?te R?ties is the 2010 Syrah Melville Vineyard, which offers a fresh, lively bouquet of black raspberries, cracked pepper, Asian spices and spring flowers. Gorgeous on the palate as well, with full-bodied richness, lively acidity and fine tannin, it has an underlying elegance and purity about it that sets it apart. Like the 2008 and 2009, it improved with time in the glass and held up beautifully for the three days I had the bottle open. Enjoy it anytime over the coming 10-15 years.
