The 2005 Pinot Noir “Cuvee Noir” offers a nose of toasty, charred oak, violets, cassis, and raspberry. This is followed by a medium-bodied wine made in a racy style with some sweet red fruits, uplifting acidity, and just enough structure. However, this wine is all on the surface. Drink it now or take the risk that there will still be fruit in a few years. Tel: (503) 538-1141; www.dobbesfamilyestate.com
